Before arriving in Umeå she was expecting quality education. Now, more than half a year later, Mary Kiconco from Uganda says she’s not disappointed.

Mary Kiconco from Uganda came to Umeå last fall and is now doing a master’s in Public Health. She is also an Advisory Board Coordinator for the Swedish Network for International Health.

What were your expectations before coming to Umeå?
– My expectation was quality education and I am not disappointed.

Any challenges studying and living here?
– It has been a bit challenging with the cold, dark and lonely winter but I have tried to adapt. I am happy now the weather is getting warmer and there is bit of sunshine.
